University of Kentucky Career and Internship Fair

Whether a freshman or rising graduate, all students are encouraged to explore the career-related events outlined below.  It is never too early (or too late) for students to take advantage of career development resources in the college. 

Business Internship and Career Fair
Wednesday, February 21 
from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Gatton College of Business

Students are invited to connect with a variety of employers hiring full-time, part-time and internship roles.  Students are encouraged to wear professional attire and bring copies of their resume. To see a list of attending employers, click here

Headshot Day (Drop-in)
Thursday, February 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
in N6 of Ag Science Center

Students are invited to wear business casual or business professional attire and stop by for professional headshot.  These photos will be edited and sent to students for their LinkedIn profile, website, e-portfolio, etc. This event is free of charge. 

Bulletproof Resumes
Thursday, February 22 at 3:00 p.m.
in the Ag Information Center of the Ag Science Center

This workshop is for students wanting to elevate their resume to catch employers' attention.  Amanda Saha, Director of Career Development, will work through her formula for creating the perfect fit resume that carefully articulates value to a prospective employers.  Interested students should register through Handshake (login with linkblue ID). This session has a maximum capacity of 25 students.

The LinkedIn Lowdown
Wednesday, February 28 at 3:00 p.m. 
in the Ag Information Center of the Ag Science Center 
This workshop will help students create and maximize the LinkedIn social media platform.  Students will learn how to find contacts, employers, expand their network, and catch the attention of recruiters. 

Spring Hire Blue Career Fair
Thursday, March 1 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.  
in the Jacobs Science Building

Need an Outfit?
The UK Student Government's "Wildcat Wardrobe" is open to all students needing professional attire for interviews and career-related events. Students are welcome to choose up to three pieces from donations by alumni and the Lexington community.  Wildcat Wardrobe is open Wednesdays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in room 250 of Blazer Hall.
