University of Kentucky Education Abroad Program Development

The Education Abroad Committee in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment supports the college's international faculty-directed programs. The committee's primary objective is to develop a strategic portfolio of international opportunities that represents the breadth of college programs while appealing to student needs, interests, and demographics. The group meets regularly to fully review new and recurring program proposals (i.e. details including curriculum, logistics, non-student participants, etc.).

Faculty interested in developing an education abroad program should explore the information located below.  Questions may be directed to Amanda Saha, chair of the college's Education Abroad Committee.

Other Ways to Connect with UK Education Abroad

  • Access the Education Abroad Faculty Toolkit to utilize innovative and pedagogically-sound activities for education abroad or residential courses. The online Faculty Toolkit provides instructional resources for faculty seeking a global perspective in their classroom.
  • Guide curriculum integration by developing major-specific advising resources that assist students in selecting education abroad programs aligning with their major. Major Advising Pages (MAPs) highlight education abroad as an academic endeavor integral to a student’s degree.
  • Join the EA Scholarship Review Committee and help award over $350,000 in scholarships to UK students. The administration of UK EA scholarships is achievable only because of the faculty and staff who volunteer their time to be scholarship reviewers.
