Arcadia classes will include students from universities throughout the United States, while Dr. Swanson's courses will include UK students only.

The two UK courses offered will be:

HMT 486: Transformative Travels: Exploring the U.K. - Travel can change how people view themselves and the world around them. Travel can be a source of challenge and inspiration as travelers learn about communities, cultures and characters in the destination. Students enrolled in this course will be in the midst of a long-term travel experience. Not only will this class help explore the destination, but it will also help students learn how travel can be transformative both in the present and throughout their lives. This course will include a week-long excursion to smaller cities throughout the United Kingdom.

HMT 580: Trends Analysis in the Hospitality Industry - This course is designed to acquaint the student with the major trends occurring in the hospitality industry, and to develop analytical skills required to interpret them. Throughout the course, the students should be able to identify trends; their timing, the causal effects they have on organizations, the actual probability of their occurrence, and the impact they will have on the organization. The focus of this course may be expanded beyond trends within hospitality and tourism to include retail or other business sectors
