  • The UK College of Medicine has developed an Early Assurance Program for high achieving students. Applicants must have an interest in ultimately studying and practicing in Kentucky as they will receive assured admission to the University of Kentucky. For more information, click here
  • Stuckert Career Center and the College of Arts & Sciences will be offering a joint workshop for students questioning their pre-health professions path and need help identifying other career options or the best healthcare profession for them. The workshop will be held Wednesday, February 13 at 5:30 in the Stuckert Career Center. 

Scholarships and Funding Opportunities

  • The Office of Undergraduate Research annually awards students a grant to study a variety of disciplines under the supervision of a faculty mentor. Applications are due Monday, February 25. For more information, click here
  • UK Libraries is now accepting applications for the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Scholarship. Two students have the opportunity to receive a $1,000 cash prize for a research project that makes substantive and creative use of UK Libraries. For more information, click here

Experiential Opportunity

  • The UK College of Medicine invites rising juniors and seniors to apply for the Summer Training Program. Emphasis may be pharmacology or environmental health sciences. Students must be available for the entirety of the program (May 28 through August 2) as they will receive a stipend. For more information, click here
  • Applications are now open for Intercollegiate Sustainability Research Experiences (ISREs). This is an 8-10 week program where students will work under the guidance of a scientist or team. Participants will receive up to a $4,500 stipend. Applications are due by Monday, February 25. For more information, click here

  • The Summer 2019 Meredith Fellowship Program is an opportunity for recent graduates to gain experience working with some of their popular brands. Positions are available in marketing, print and digital content, photography, food styling, prop styling,the test kitchens, and much more. Applications are due Friday, February 22.   • The UK Counseling Center will be holding "Resilience Recharge" workshops designed to help manage approaching mid-semester stress. The first session focusing on mindset is Wednesday, February 12 at 1:00 in 203 Frazee Hall. Sessions are free to all UK students. For more workshops and information, click here
  • The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is holding their Admissions Boot Camp May 28 through May 31 in Morehead, KY. All expenses for the program are covered by the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Applications are due by Thursday, April 18. For more information, click here
  • The college's Student Council will host its annual Winter Clothing Drive in Ag North, February 13 through 15, from 11:00-1:00. All donations and proceeds will go to the Catholic Action Center. Free donuts and pastries will be provided.
  • The Food Science Club will be selling Valentine's Day hot chocolate from 9:00 - 11:30 on Thursday, February 14 in the lobby of the Garrigus Building. Each cup is $3.00 and cash or major credit/ debit cards are accepted. 
  • The Horticulture Club will be selling Valentine's Day themed gifts Wednesday, February 13 from 11:00 - 3:00 in the Ag North deli area. The club is offering terrariums, planters, and flowers for the big day. For more information, click here
