Academic Support and Advising 

  • Students are strongly encouraged to provide feedback via course evaluations.  Both positive and negative, all feedback is incredibly valuable to the college.  These evaluations influence a number of things including future course design, instructor raises, faculty promotion, and much more.  Students should receive evaluation links in their uky email. Club Meetings

  • UK Horticulture club will meet on Wednesday, December 6 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Greenhouse 12. Students will work with tropical and carnivorous plants, create holiday items, and participate in a cookie exchange. 

Experiential Opportunities

  • Calling freshmen to Student Council. Applications are open to apply for Freshmen Representative positions on AG Student Council. Deadline to apply is on December 8, and voting will take place through December 15. To apply, click here

  • Eli Lilly and Company is seeking students interested in completing a short work assignment within the Discover Chemistry division. This 12-week assignment will begin in May 2018 at our research laboratories in Indianapolis, IN. Research projects are available in the areas such as organics, analytics, or computational chemistry as well as biochemistry. For more infromation, and to apply, click here.  
  • The Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy (GOAP) is now accepting applications for the 2018 summer internship program. The program will run from May to August of 2018, depending on the intern’s school schedule, and is a full-time paid position, with the option to receive college credit.   • Camp Lonehollow is a ranch in Texas seeking wranglers for a herd of 60 horses. The position would include teaching polocrosse, jumping, natural horsemanship, mounted games, equine care and trail. For more information, click here.

Event Promotion

  • The Agricultural and Medical Biotechnology 395/399 student presentations are scheduled for Tuesday, December 5 in the Cameron Williams Lecture Hall, Plant Science Building from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

  • All students are welcome to attend "Puppy Play Time" on Thursday, December 7 from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. in N24 of Agricultural Science Center North. This is an opportunity for students to unwind and destress prior to finals week. 
  • Staff, faculty and students are invited to the first bi-annual Family Sciences 499 Internship Symposium on Wednesday, December 6 from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. in room 213 Funkhouser. Students will showcase their projects and experiences through poster presentations. 


  • On December 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the AG Deli, and on December 6 from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. in Greenhouse 12, the Horticulture Club will be selling poinsettias, gift-able tropical plants, student decorated wreaths, student made apple butter, mistletoe bundles, living ornaments and Charlie Brown themed desktop holiday trees.
