Career Development
Students with all majors are invited to meet many employers on Tuesday, February 15 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm looking to hire University of Kentucky students for full-time, part-time, internship, co-op, and other types of roles. We encourage you to come in professional dress and bring multiple copies of your resume. Register for the fair via Handshake to learn more about employers planning to attend these fairs.
All students are invited to attend the Business, Communication, Liberal Arts & Humanities internship and career fair on Wednesday, February 16 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Application Deadline
- UK’s Summer Medical Observership Program is for current University of Kentucky students with pre-medical career interests. This program offers opportunities for students to shadow physicians in Lexington and the surrounding area. The application deadline is Friday, February 18. - The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to the environment and/or Native American nations. Wellness Events
On Tuesday, February 15 from noon to 1:00 PM, the College is hosting a time management workshop in the Ag North Wellness Room (N24). All students are encouraged to attend and learn more about how they can maximize their time, balance priorities, and reach their goals.
Students can register to pick up a free, nutritious lunch through the UK Campus Kitchen's Farm to Fork program on Wednesday, February 16 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. These locally sourced meals are available at two campus locations - 207 Funkhouser and the Ag North Wellness Room (N24). On Wednesday, February 16 from 2:00 to 2:30, the College is hosting a gentle yoga session in the Ag North Wellness Room (N24). This light exercise will be a time for students to unwind and learn more about yoga practice. All experience levels are encouraged to attend.
- All students are welcome to visit the Ag North Wellness Room (N24) on Thursday, February 17 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM and visit with UK PD's therapy dog, Hudson.
Counselors from the UK Counseling Center will be available in the Ag North Wellness Room (N24) on Thursday, February 17 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. This is a time for students to drop in for an informal meeting and discuss anything that may be on their minds. For details on other meeting times, click here.
Paid Openings
- The Department of Regulatory Services Soils Laboratory is in search of one part-time student temp. The lab will work with the student's school schedule. The lab is open first shift M-F. Duties include sample prep, grinding, filling orders to county extension, etc. Click here for more details.
- The Library Administration department is seeking a student assistant to be responsible for arranging and describing historic materials – including documents and photographs. For the application and more information click here.
