Experiential Opportunities

  • The SPARK (Students Participating as Ambassadors for Research in Kentucky) Health Equity Training Program is now accepting applications from undergraduate students. Accepted students will receive a stipend, be introduced to community-engaged research focused on health disparities/health equity, and receive mentorship from experts. Events

  • The 31st Annual Arbor Day Celebration will take place October 22 from 8am to 5pm at the Arboretum. The day's activities will include a guided bird walk, Callery Pear workshop, native tree walk, plant/seed exchange, a tree planting, games, crafts, STEM activities and more. Some activities may require pre-registration. See the full schedule and register.
  • Walk with a Doc is a program that provides physician-led walks to build community health and knowledge. Walks are at your own pace and a great way to make new friends while learning about health. The last two walks of the season will begin at the Arboretum parkring lot at 5pm on October 10 and 27.
  • SGA is presenting a showing of "The Lorax" in celebration of Tree Week at the Worsham Cinema in the Gatton Student Center on October 11 at 7pm.
