Deadline Soon: Apply to be an IFAL Counselor by Friday

Deadline for applying as an IFAL counselor is this Friday, April 12th.

For the past thirty seven years, Kentucky Farm Bureau has been investing in our state’s youth through the Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL) Program. IFAL is a unique five-day summer leadership conference that exposes students to college life and explores different fields of study for careers in agriculture. IFAL allows high school juniors to choose between separate conferences at two of Kentucky’s premier universities. This year’s IFAL conferences will be held June 9-13, 2024, at Murray State University in Murray and June 23-27, 2024, at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

The IFAL program helps students become more familiar with Farm Bureau, promote agricultural-related career choices, provide leadership development opportunities, and promote each participating university. Apply here.

Undergraduate Travel Grants are still available

Funding for this undergraduate research travel opportunity is available through the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment and is provided by the University of Kentucky Vice President for Research, through the Office of Undergraduate Research, and the Gatton Foundation. This award is coordinated by the college's Center for Student Success and the college's Research Office.

The goal of this funding is to enhance undergraduate experiences and innovation in research. These awards are provided on a competitive basis to undergraduate students to gain research experience, complementing their coursework. Additionally, students selected by their program to apply will benefit from compiling the application for competition. Undergraduate Travel Grants are now available to apply until April 12th.
