University of Kentucky Scholarship College of Agriculture Food and Environment

Although only one application is required for the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment scholarship, there are dozens of potential awards. Thanks to the generosity of donors and alumni, awards are based on criteria such as major, hometown, career goals, club involvement, and more.

To be eligible for the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment scholarship, current students or transfer students must:

  • Have a cumulative 2.6 GPA as of Fall 2021

College of Agriculture, Food and Environment scholarships are awarded for one academic year, in two equal amounts, for the fall and spring semesters. Students must re-apply for continuing student scholarships in the spring semester of each year.

The essay portion of the application is extermely important.

Students must complete a personal statement that answers the following:

  • Life is full of challenges, and college is no different. What has been the most challenging aspect of attending college? How were you able to overcome or adapt to this challenge? Did this challenge cause you to reconsider your career goals or did it reaffirm them?

Students are encouraged to draft their statement prior to beginning the application, and meet with the UK Writing Center to strengthen their essay.
