Looking for ways to give back to future M-G CAFE students while developing your leadership skills? Apply to become a Peer Instructor! This is an instructional leadership development course for undergraduate students in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. Peer Instructors provide support to students as they adapt to the academic expectations of the AFE 100 curriculum and assist students in their transition to the University of Kentucky. To qualify, you must have completed AFE 100 earning a B or higher. Students chosen will enroll in AFE 330-Peer Instruction: AFE 100.

Visit the Spring 2025 Design Fair
The 2025 Design Career Fair returns to the Gatton Student Center on Friday, February 28 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The annual event, to be held in the student center's Grand Ballroom and Social Staircase area, marks the seventh career fair for the College of Design, and the third in partnership with the Department of Landscape Architecture.
Engineering, Computer Science + STEM Career Fair
The Spring 2025 Engineering, Computer Science and STEM Majors Career Fair is on February 25 from 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. EDT in the Grand Ballroom and prefunction areas of the UK Gatton Student Center. The Undergraduate Development and Internship Research Experience (U-DAIRE) program is for students across the Southern Region. The U-DAIRE program will provide funding ($5,400) for a 9-week internship at a value-added processing enterprise with industry stakeholders and grant team members. We are looking for eager, ambitious students with an interest in gaining knowledge and experience in the dairy industry. Applications accepted until March 10.
Summer 2025 - Plant breeding and genetics research
Full time summer (May 12 – Aug 8) undergraduate work opportunities available in plant breeding & genetics in the Brzozowski Lab. Undergraduate students conduct field research on sustainable production of oats, rye, and intermediate wheatgrass in Kentucky. Responsibilities include: field data collection, harvesting plants, preparing and analyzing seeds, and occasional greenhouse work or sample preparation for laboratory analysis. Interested?
