Each year, scholarships are awarded by the Foundation to undergraduate students specializing in some phase of FLORICULTURE, the cultivation of flowers, especially to be cut and sold, including flowering plants and foliage plants. The object of the awards is to encourage good students to enter the domestic floriculture field; therefore, applicants should intend to work in some phase of commercial floriculture in the United States after graduation. Academic performance, financial need, work status, character, and intent are all considered for this award.
Criteria for Eligibility
Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university in the United States or in a California community college; be a sophomore, junior, or senior for the next academic year; majoring in a degree program related to floriculture; and intend to work in some phase of commercial floriculture after graduation.
