First Year
The descendants of Charles Tuggle, a slave freed by his owner in 1861, established this fund to assist needy young person’s attending or wishing to attend an institution of higher learning. This fund is to assist a young person in need that is attending or wishes to attend an institution of higher learning.
Criteria for Eligibility
Resident of Jefferson County, Kentucky; Cumulative 2.5 GPA; Demonstrate financial need; Preference given to African American students.
