Campus Events

  • UK Campus Rec has updated its Spring 2022 fitness class schedule for the Alumni Gym and Johnson Center. These classes are free to all full-time UK students. Click here for details. 
  • Students interested in research opportunities are encouraged to attend an upcoming information session with the UK Office of Undergraduate Research. The office is hosting sessions on Thursday, January 13, Tuesday, January 18 and Tuesday, January 25 at 5:00 PM. To register, click here
  • On Thursday, January 13 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, all students are invited to attend Woodland Wonderland, a pop-up ice rink event at the corner of Hilltop Avenue and Woodland Avenue. Hot chocolate and treats will be served. 

Career Development Events

  • All UK students and alumni are invited to join a virtual career fair on Wednesday January 19, 2022 hosted by CareersinFood.com and AgCareers.com. Attending employers include dozens of top companies looking to fill positions throughout the Southern region including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina,Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia & West Virginia.   • All students interested in working with the federal government are encouraged to attend the ORISE virtual career fair on Wednesday, January 19 from noon to 3:00 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from the USDA, FDA, CDC and more. Click here for more details. 
  • Students considering law school are encouraged to attend the UK Rosenberg College of Law workshop on Saturday, January 22 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This virtual event will provide prospective law students an incredible opportunity to both learn about the Law School Admissions Process and how to build a strong application, and also how to make an informed decision about where to enroll.   • The Office of the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration is seeking a student staff assistant. The student will be responsible for answering phones, greeting visitors, courier documents/other correspondence between campus buildings and providing general clerical support to management and/or office staff.   • UK Event Management is seeking a student coordinator. This position will support the University Events team on a day-to-day basis with facility and space scheduling in the Event Management System, general event management, administrative duties, and customer service.   • UK Philanthropy is seeking a student officer for its call center. These individuals ontact Alumni/Friends/Donors of the University requesting donations to support student scholarships, programs, and campus improvements. Students can expect flexible scheduling options with shifts lasting from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday-Thursday or 1:00-4:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoons.   • UK Athletics is seeking a turf worker to support the UK sports turf manager. This position fulfills a variety of needs for UK athletic fields, and applicants must be able to work weekends. For more details, click here
  • The College of Dentistry is seeking a work-study eligible student for a clerical assistant position. This student will assist Dentistry's Admissions and Student Affairs Office staff by copying, filing, mailings, assembling packets, compiling information for spreadsheets, make deliveries to other offices and buildings as needed with regard to Admissions, Registrar, Student Affairs, Account Services, and Financial Aid.
