  • The last day to drop a Spring 2023 class (without receiving a W on your transcript) is Friday, January 17. Students should consult their advisor before making schedule changes. 

Events & Club Meetings

  • UK Education Abroad is hosting its Spring Fair tomorrow (1/18) from 2:00 to 5:00 PM in the Student Center Ballroom. Attendees will learn about program options, scholarships, and more. Students may also enter a raffle for a chance to win fully-funded airfare for their international program. 
  • UK Collegiate 4-H is hosting their first meeting of the semester on Wednesday, January 18 at 6:00PM in the MLK Center Multi-Purpose Room in the UK Student Center. All those interested are welcome to attend. 
  • UK MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences) is hosting an open general body meeting on Wednesday, January 18 at 7:00 PM in 114 White Hall. All those interested are welcome to attend. 

Job Openings

  • The College of Agriculture Regulatory Services Department is seeking student worker for the Spring 2023 semester. The positions will be in the soil and feed and fertilizer labs. Duties include sample grinding, sample prep, and other assigned duties. Will work around class schedule and hours are limited to Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.   • The UK mesoLab currently has openings for multiple undergraduate research assistants interested in water quality. Research projects will focus on water quality issues and will involve laboratory water quality analysis, laboratory based water quality research projects, greenhouse experiments related to wetlands, and outdoor river and stormwater monitoring. Dr. Messer and her team are committed to an inclusive lab environment and encourage students from underrepresented groups to apply. Visit the mesoLab website for more information. 

Experiential Opportunity 

  • UK’s Summer Medical Observership Program is for current University of Kentucky students with pre-medical career interests. This program offers opportunities for students to shadow physicians in the Lexington and surrounding area. Those accepted into this program will be matched with a physician for the Summer Medical Observership experience, and they will spend about 30 hours total with the physician within an 8-week period.
