Education Abroad
- The College is accepting applications for its Summer 2023 "Mountains to Coast: Field Studies in Costa Rica" education abroad program running July 21 to August 4. All students with an interest in environmental sciences are encouraged to participate and will earn credit for NRE 320: Natural Resource and Environmental Analysis. Undergraduate Research
- The UK Office of Undergraduate Research launched a new ForageOne portal to connect research faculty and aspiring undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and postdoc researchers. Interested students are encouraged to visit their website and complete a profile to start connecting with UK researchers.
- The college is accepting applications for its Undergraduate Research grant (with awards up to $1,000) until Tuesday, February 28. Click here for more information and to apply.
- Dr. Lauren Brzozowski in the UK Department of Plant and Soil Sciences is seeking paid research assistants for the spring semester. Responsibilities will include greenhouse work (e.g., watering, staking, harvesting plants), preparation for field work (e.g., measuring plots, transplanting), and/or preparing samples for laboratory analysis (e.g., weighing samples, milling flour). No experience required, and training will be provided. Students should expect to commit about five to ten hours per week. For more information, click here.
- The college's new poultry unit located on the C. Oran Little Research Farm in Woodford County is hiring student workers. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience with chickens and participate in research. Students can work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semester and 40 hours/week during the summer. If interested contact Mr. Mike Ford (michael.ford@uky.edu).

- For students interested in becoming a Resident Advisor, UK Residence Life is hosting an RA Information Session on Tuesday, February 21. Attendees should register for one of six evening sessions via this link.
- The College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is hosting their fifth annual Intercultural Awareness Day on March 28 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Helen King Alumni Building on Rose St. Hosted by the UK CAFE Office of Diversity, the 5th annual event will focus on mental health in the agriculture and farming community.
