  • Nominations are open for the Excellent Undergraduate Research Mentor of the Year awards. These student-nominated awards recognize excellence in supporting undergraduate research and convey UK’s high regard for outstanding contributions made to the academic and research community. Fundraising

  • In honor of National Nutrition Month, Campus Kitchen at UK is hosting their March for Meals fundraiser to support their new sustainability-focused renovated Nourish space. Any donations are appreciated and will go towards helping CKUK provide more meals, reduce food waste, and empower the community through enrichment programs. Experiential Opportunities

  • The UK Salvation Army Clinic is now seeking triage volunteers. Students are eligible to apply beginning their sophomore year and will need to fill out the contact form at the Salvation Army Clinic Website, or send an email to Kaitlin Eastham at triage_manager@uksac.org.

  • Students can participate in a 4-week Esports Abroad Program offered in Seoul, South Korea this summer. Students can study at Hanyang or Korea University and participate in customizable, co-curricular esports activities facilitated by Gen G designed to introduce students to the global esports industry, provide networking opportunities, and offer a cross-cultural learning experience. The deadline to apply is Saturday, May 15 and the first six students to complete their registration will automatically receive a $1,500 scholarship. For more information, and to apply, click here.

  • The Agroecosystem Nutrient Cycling Lab in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences is hiring a research assistant to assist with research testing the effects of management practices on soil carbons and nitrogen dynamics.   • All undergraduates participating in faculty-mentored research are encouraged to register for the 15th annual Virtual Showcase of Undergraduate Scholars and present their research. The registration deadline is April 1. Learn more and register here.
  • Join the UK Ag Equine Programs on Saturday, April 10 from 9:00 to 3:00 at the African American Cemetery No. 2 for a day of community service and learning about the deep heritage and impact of African Americans within the Kentucky horse industry.   • The Cultivating Inclusion Series upcoming session, Microaggressions from an Intersectional Lens, will take place Thursday, April 1 from 12:00 to 1:00 online via Zoom.
