Events and Club Meetings 

  • On Monday, April 18 from noon to 1:00 PM, the College is hosting "Mindful Moments" in the Ag North Wellness Room (N24). Empty the mind and calm the body with Mindful Moments – a brief guided meditation designed to teach tips and tricks for how to stay grounded. 
  • Join Service and Community Engagement for a volunteering opportunity with Explorium of Lexington on Monday, April 18 from 12:00 to 3:30 pm. Participants will walk from the Gatton Student Center to Explorium on West Short Street. On-site, volunteers will be painting, cleaning up the space, and helping to relocate some items within the museum.   • Join the Department of Dietetics & Human Nutrition for a presentation where students will learn why people stress eat, strategies to manage stress eating, and tips for savoring comfort foods. This event will take place on Tuesday, April 19th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Agricultural Science Center N24 Wellness Room.

  • All University of Kentucky students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the CAFE Student Council Barn Dance on Thursday, April 21 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the College's South Farm. Tickets are $15 which includes food, games, door prizes, a t-shirt (while supplies last), and of course - music and dancing.   • The department of Library Administration is looking for an Oral History Center Student Assistant. The Oral History Center Student Assistant is responsible for a variety of work at the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History in the Special Collections Division. Click here to apply. 
  • The Center for Service-Learning and Civic Engagement is seeking a summer civic leader. Duties will include working with a nonprofit agency in the Lexington, KY, area to provide the following types of services: program implementation, administration, fundraising; and, communications and marketing.   • The Mechanical Engineering Department is looking for a non-College of Engineering student to fill the open Business Office Assistant position. This position's duties include addressing general inquiries from walk-in visitors. Other duties include assisting with budget reconciliations, filing, and office events. Educational Abroad Opportunities

  • This education abroad opportunity is open to all majors. This program brings together the role of the biological processes that influence hunger with the physiological responses to cues in the social and neighborhood environment that influence what people eat. Holding this course in Australia provides a unique context to explore the differences between the United States in regards to food policies that may seem similar in certain ways and vastly different in others.
