Career Development 

  • The Job Club meeting will be hosted on Tuesday, May 10 from 9:00 to 10:15 am where attendees will learn how to create a LinkedIn profile that is complete and concise and will get the attention of recruiters throughout their job search. Online attendees register here. 
  • On Tuesday, May 24 from 9:00 to 10:15 am the Job Club will host a meeting where attendees will learn what stands out to a recruiter when they are reviewing a resume, and how to get past screening software. Click here to attend online. 

Volunteer Opportunities

  • UK arboretum is seeking volunteers to inventory public parks in Lexington as a part of a community science effort to help prepare local tree canopies for climate change. Participants will learn tree ID and assessment skills while collecting information about the trees in Lexington's public parks for use in a tree canopy study. Click here for more information.

Upcoming Events

  • Join UK arboretum for a spring plant exchange on Saturday, May 14 at 8:30 am at The Arboretum's overflow lot (next to the paved parking lot). The event will start at 9:00 am. This is no need to bring an item to add to the exchange in order to participate. For more information click here. 
  • The Arboretum, in partnership with the Urban Forest Initiative and UKY Horticulture Extension Office, will present a webinar focused on how Kentucky plants are responding to climate change. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, May 11 at 12:30 pm. Click here to register. 
  • On Sunday, May 15 students have the opportunity to donate items that they no longer need while they are in the process of moveout. All items can be dropped off at Gatton Student Center. Click here for more information.

  • Farm Credit Mid-America is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support a variety of financial services, build relationships with internal and external customers, and provide general administrative support. Click here for more information.
  • The library administration is looking for a student to answer patron questions, be attentive and friendly to incoming patrons, find library items for ILL and Book Express, shelve books, check items in and out, assist in small library projects, assisting patrons in using items in the makerspace area.
