Research

  • Thursday, September 30 is the deadline for the College's Undergraduate Research Grant (awards up to $1,000). For more details, click here. 
  • Those interested in learning more about undergraduate research opportunities are encouraged to attend an information session on Thursday, September 23 from 6:00 to 7:00 in room 231 of the Student Center. Click here for more details and to register. 
  • Registration is now open for the University's Sustainability Research Poster Competition, the Oswald Research & Creativity Competition and the 5-Minute Fast Track. Visit the Office of Undergraduate Research website for details and deadlines. 

Career Development

  • All students are invited to join the Office of Diversity and UK MANRRS for a conversation with the Indiana Packers Corporation, a midwest food company. Attendees will learn more about the organization, enjoy a free meal, and should dress business casual with copies of their resume in hand. The meeting will be Monday, September 20 from 6:00 to 7:30 in room 341 of the Barnhart Building. Click here to RSVP. 
  • The University is hosting a series of career fairs including tomorrow's (9/21) Engineering and STEM Career Fair, Wednesday's (9/22) Business and All Majors Career fair and the Virtual Career Fair on Wednesday, September 29. For more details, including lists of attending employers, log in to Handshake. 
  • All students interested in professional opportunities within the Kentucky equine industry are invited to attend the Equine Career Fair on Wednesday, September 29. Registration is free, but attendees must register by Wednesday, September 22. Click here for details. 

Fundraiser 

  • Sigma Alpha & Alpha Gamma Rho invites the entire college community to its Farm to Table event on Sunday, September 26 from 4:00 to 8:00 at The Heartwood in Lexington. All proceeds raised will benefit Heifer International. Tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased by Friday, September 24. Tickets may be purchased via Venmo (@uksigmaalpha) or by contacting Shelbie Harris at slha286@uky.edu or 502-529-9357.
