Fundraiser

  • Join the Horticulture Club for a day of apple picking at the Horticulture Research Farm. There will be many apple varieties to choose from. There will also be carnivorous plants and select native perennial plants. Visit the club's Facebook page for more information. 

Job Opening

  • UK Cooperative Extension is now accepting applications for its Summer 2022 Internships. There are several internship opportunities working under the direction of Extension professionals in Agriculture and Natural Resources, 4-H Youth Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, Horticulture, Fine Arts/CEDIK, RCARS, and the Office of Diversity. Career Development 

  • Join the UK Job Club this Tuesday (9/28) from 9:00 to 10:15 for a session on "Practices for Networking Success" with a career counselor from the Univeristy of Kentucky. Attendees may join in-person at the Fayette County Extension Office or online.   • The Stuckert Career Center is hosting a virtual career fair for all majors on Wednesday (9/29). Register and learn more about virtual career fairs on Handshake.
  • MANRRS is inviting students to come out to their general body meeting on Wednesday, September 29 in room 214 of White Hall. Along with updating resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and elevator speeches, attendees will learn how to present their best selves at professional conferences.

Events

  • This Thursday (9/30) from 2:00 to 3:00 experinece the new interactive Learning Bar located in The Boone Center- Student Wellness Suite. The Learning Bar is an opportunity where you can enhance your knowledge about alcohol with hands on learning throughout. For more information on this event click here.
  • Join WellKentucky, an international non-profit program that gets people connected to medical professionals this Thursday (9/30) at 5:15 for short presentation about a specific health topic. Then, enjoy a walk around the location with your walking group. This is a great way to get outside, move your body, and learn something new! It is also a valuable opportunity to talk casually with a doctor, and even potentially make a professional connection. Click here for more details.
  • Save the date for Sweet Trivia and join the University of Kentucky Student Activities Board on Thursday (9/30) from 5:00 to 7:00. This event will include sweet trivia questions while eating a variety of different treats such as cake, brownies, candy, and more.
