Advising and Academic Support

  • From October 11-14, The Study will be hosting a Common Hour Review session for students enrolled in CHEM 105, MA 113, MA 114, and MA 109. These large group tutoring sessions focus on practice problems and exam prep strategies. For more information and the downloadable worksheet, click here.
  • This week (Oct. 11 - 14), the Stuckert Career Center is hosting "Exploration Week," for students wanting assistance with their career and/or major decision-making. All students are welcome to drop in between noon and 4:00 p.m. Daily prizes and giveaways will also be included. 

Career Development

  • The Job Club will be hosting a meeting on October 12 from 9:00 to 10:15 am with guest speakers Sarah Pitt VP Human Resources, Associations International & Alex Howard, Human Resources Operations Manager, Associations International. There will be a presentation on tips and strategies to ace your interviews (virtual or in-person) in the new post-Covid era. Click here to register.

Events & Club Meetings

  • The Urban Forest Initiative is hosting their fourth annual Tree Week on October 9-16. Celebrate trees and greenspaces around the city with friends, neighbors and the community. Tree Week 2021 events include tree plantings, tree walks, tours and hikes, educational programs for youth and adults, art, yoga, and much more in communities throughout Kentucky.   • Join UK Minority Business Professionals on October 11 from 6:00 to 7:45 at the Student Center Cats Den for their Micro-Aggression Forum. This group discuss will focus on what micro-aggression is, and its levels. It does not only cover race, but also religion, sexuality, and gender. To RSVP, click here. 
  • Join CAFE Ambassadors on Tuesday, November 12 to celebrate National Farmer's Day. They will be hosting a pop-up giveaway on the ground floor of the Ag Science Center from 9:30 to 11:30. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to stop by while supplies last. 
  • Join WellKentucky this Thursday (10/14) at 5:15 for "Walk With a Doc." Then, enjoy a walk around the location with your walking group. This is a great way to get outside, move your body, and learn something new. It is also a valuable opportunity to talk casually with a doctor, and even potentially make a professional connection. Click here for more details.
  • Save the date for the Farm to Fork Lunch Pick Up on Wednesday (10/13) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Farm to Fork offers a locally sourced, nutritious lunch free to all UK students. Meals will be distributed from the Funkhouser Building and the Agriculture Science Center North. To sign up, click here
