  • On Tuesday (10/26) at 1:00 pm the University of Kentucky Counseling Center will be hosting a workshop to help students to recognize the warning signs that someone is thinking about suicide and how to apply three steps to save a life. Attendees will receive a QPR booklet and card with information on suicide prevention as well as resource information within the community. For more information and to access the Zoom link, visit the UK Counseling Center website.
  • Join the the University of Kentucky Counseling Center this Thursday (10/28) at 4:00 pm for a workshop for students who have not picked a major, those who are struggling in their majors, those who are disinterested in their majors, and those who are having difficulty making career decisions. Students will learn more about their interests and values as well as resources to help in their decision making. Career Development

  • The Job Club will be having a meeting on Tuesday (10/26) from 9:00 to 10:15 am introducing  ways to help the audience build a solid resume foundation by addressing preferred resume formats and how to target your resume and skills to the specific position. Attendees may join in-person at the Fayette County Extension Office or online.   • On Wednesday (10/27) at 6:00 p.m., the Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine is hosting an online presentation for University of Kentucky students that will provide information about preparing and applying to veterinary school. To join the presentation, click here.

  • This Thursday (10/28) Moe's Southwest Grill will be donating 25% of purchases to DanceBlue from 11am-9pm. This Moe's is located on Harrodsburg Rd. Research

  • Saturday October 30 marks the deadline for the UK Office of Undergraduate Research Oswald Research and Creativity Competition. The competition is intended to promote research and creativity in all fields of study. Awards are given across seven categories including biological sciences, design, social sciences and more. For more information and to register, click here.

  • The Study is searching for peer tutors for various subjects such as math, chemistry, biology, and business. Peer Tutors help tutees fully understand concepts, complete assignments, and study for exams. Visit the UK Jobs website for more details.

  • Join the UK Student Government Association this Thursday (10/28) from 6:00 to 7:00 at White Hall for their speaker series where students are able to meet with faculty/administration to discuss relevant topics and issues occurring on-campus and in the world around us.   • On Wednesday (10/27) from 5:30 to 6:30 Braxton Molton, a Security Analyst at Netgain Technologies will speak about cybersecurity from an analyst perspective. Individuals can attend in person or a link will be emailed to those who choose to attend via livestream. Click here to register.
