  • Students can learn about the suicide prevention program, Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), by attending the UK Counseling Center workshop hosted virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, November 17 from 1:00 to 2:00.   • The UK Counseling Center hosts weekly workshops every Tuesday from 4:00 to 5:00 via Zoom for students to create their own mental-health toolkit by exploring a different strategy each week. Course Promotion

  • The Community Leadership and Development program is offering CLD 495: Innovations in Community Engagement, a virtual synchronous course, in the upcoming Spring 2021 Semester. The class will give students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and work with community stakeholders on projects addressing current issues.   • Family Sciences and Education Abroad is offering FAM 455: Keys to Well-Being in Costa Rica for students to learn lessons from the world’s “longest-lived” people. Scheduled travel is May 15 through 23 tentatively but students may benefit from the course content even without travel. Undergraduates in search of an upper level elective are encouraged to apply.   • The 2021 AHP Equine Media Student Award Contest is rewarding up to three $1,000 travel awards to attend the AHP “Back in the Saddle” Conference in Texas. The deadline to apply is January 22. For eligibility requirements, and to download the application, click here.
  • Congressman Andy Barr is hiring students for Spring 2021 internships in both Washington, DC and Kentucky offices. Students may gain experience in researching legislation, assisting with media clips, attending hearings, and more. For more information, and to apply, click here.

  • UK Libraries is rewarding students for protecting, respecting, and doing their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 with the "Healthy Behaviors Honor Roll."
