Experiential Opportunities

  • The deadline to apply for the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment Student Council is Friday, April 16. Become a voice for your fellow students and apply for any of the open positions including secretary, treasurer, communications chair, and class representative. Learn more and apply here.
  • The Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL) is accepting applications for counselors who will live with, monitor, and facilitate activities with students at the IFAL conference. The conference is planned for June 20-24 and all applications must be completed before Sunday, May 2. For more information, and to apply, click here.

Club Meetings

  • Join the Kentucky Clean Environmental Club meeting on Tuesday, April 13 from 6:00 to 7:00 online via Zoom. This will be their first meeting of the semester and plans include discussing the club’s Earth Day plans. Learn more and RSVP here.

  • The Marshall Scholarship Information Session is Monday, April 12 at 4:00 online via Zoom. Join to discuss this scholarship, which finances graduate degrees in the United Kingdom. Learn more and register here.
  • The Truman Scholarship Information Session is Wednesday, April 14 at 4:00 online via Zoom. Join this session to learn about the scholarship, which recognizes college juniors with plans to pursue a career in public service. Learn more and register here.

Events

  • The UK Office of Sustainability and UK Student Government Association is hosting “Working 4 Good: Careers in Sustainability” to provide students with information about career options related to sustainability.   • Alpha Epsilon is hosting their yearly book drive for the International Book Project (IBP) until Friday, May 7. IBP promotes literacy in the Bluegrass by collecting and distributing donated books of all kinds including kids, fiction, nonfiction, and textbooks. Drop off any donations in Room 128 of the Charles E. Barnhart Building. For more information about acceptable donations, click here.
  • Celebrate Waste Reduction Week with events all across campus beginning Monday, April 12 through Friday, April 16. Events include a pop-up thrift shop, multiple documentary screenings, and a scavenger hunt. Learn more and view the full schedule of events here.

  • All students are invited to the Whippin’ in the Kitchen virtual cooking class on Thursday, April 15 from 5:30 to 6:30.
