Scholarships & Funding

  • The Summer Sustainability Research Fellowship is now accepting applications. Students can receive a $3,000 stipend to support summer research endeavors related to sustainability. Career Development

  • The Stuckert Career Center is hosting multiple Career Fair Prep Workshops this week online via Zoom. The Resume Preparation workshop will take place Tuesday, February 4 at 4:00 and the Navigating a Virtual Career Fair will be Wednesday, February 10 at 4:00. Learn more and register here.
  • The Wildcat Wardrobe provides free, professional clothing for all students preparing for career fairs, job interviews, or other professional occasions. Learn more and shop here.
  • The UK MANRRS Career Fair is Wednesday, February 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 online via zoom. The fair will include a short pitch by each attending company followed by breakout rooms where students can learn more about internships and job opportunities. Learn more and register here.
  • Applications for the 2021 Summer Medical Observership Program are now open. Students with an interest in pre-medical career interests can match with a physician in the Lexington area to shadow for 8 weeks and gain valuable insight to careers in the medical field. Fundraising

  • The CAFE DanceBlue Team is selling chocolate covered strawberries to raise money for the Kentucky Children’s Hospital Pediatric/Oncology Clinic. One dozen strawberries cost $24 and ½ dozen cost $12. Today, February 8 is the last day to order and delivery will be Friday, February 12 in the Ag North Lobby or special arrangements can be made. Job & Internship Opportunities

  • Beaver Creek Hydrology, a Lexington-based engineering firm specializing in stream restoration and mitigation banking is accepting applications for their 2021 summer internship program. Interns will assist ecologists and engineers with field work, data management, and more. Students in biology, engineering, environmental sciences, natural resources, or related fields are encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is Monday, March 1.
