  • The Job Club meeting on Tuesday, March 22 from 9:00 to 10:15 am will be hosted by expert recruiters and they will break down strategies for how to present yourself in a first-round screening interview. This event may be joined online or in-person at the Fayette County Cooperative Extension Office (1140 Harry Sykes Way). Events and Club Meetings

  • From March 20 to March 26, the UK College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is celebrating National Agriculture Week. To see the lineup of events click here. 
  • On Tuesday, March 22 from noon to 1:00 PM, the College is hosting a vision boarding workshop in the Ag North Wellness Room (N24). During this workshop, materials needed will be provided to create a Vision or Action board.

  • Join naturalists across the state and learn how to identify plants and animals using the iNaturalist app on Friday, April 1- Saturday, April 2 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. These hikes are free and explore various natural areas across the state. For more information click here

  • Join the Kentucky Native Plant Society and native plant enthusiasts from around Kentucky at Natural Bridge State Resort Park on Friday, April 8 - Saturday, April 9 from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm. There will be many guided hikes around the Red River Gorge focusing on the spring ephemerals and native plants. Saturday night hear from keynote speaker is Mike Homoya, retired Indiana heritage botanist. Click here to register.
  • The UK Office of Diversity is holding an online, informational meeting on Wednesday, April 27 at 11 am to gauge student/staff interest in starting a UK affiliate of the Cultivating Change Foundation. This group focuses on "valuing and elevating LGBTQ+ agriculturists through advocacy, education, and community." Click here for more information. 

Experiential Opportunities

  • All juniors and seniors are invited to participate in UK College of Medicine Rural Physician Leadership Program Boot Camp. The program is designed for premed students who have completed at least two years of college, including chemistry and biology prerequisites. Applicants do not need to have completed the MCAT. The program is designed to give premed students a deeper understanding of the admissions process, which should improve their chances of success. Paid Openings 

  • Bluegrass Dermatology has full and part-time medical assistant positions available. Assistants will train in a very step-wise fashion where responsibility will be gradually increased.   • The Visitor Center is looking for walking tour employees. An employee’s first semester on staff is spent shadowing and training. Employees are put on the permanent schedule during their second semester on staff. The position will begin at the start of the Fall 2022 semester (with the opportunity to begin in Summer 2022).
