Math & Science

With three locations, The Study offers free peer tutoring services for a variety of core courses in Chemistry, Biology, Math, Economics, Accounting, Physics, Statistics and more.  

No appointment necessary, but students are encouraged to visit The Study's schedule to check course-specific hours.

Open to any student needing help with 100-level general chemistry classes. All help is provided on a drop-in basis by teaching assistants from the general chemistry lab courses.

Mental & Physical Health

All students at the University of Kentucky are eligible to use University Health Service (UHS) for their health care. They offer primary care, reproductive and sexual healthcare, psychological treatment, dental cleaning and basic care, and more. 

The UK Counseling Center offers confidential psychological counseling to all currently enrolled UK students. For any reason, if you would like to make an appointment or speak to a counselor, please walk in to 106 Frazee Hall or call (859) 257-8701, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For urgent psychological concerns after hours, please call (859) 257-8701 and you will be connected to a mental health professional.

The Student Behavioral Health Clinic provides help with, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, drug/alcohol abuse, eating disorders, attention difficulties, stress, and grief. Student Clinic Hours (Fall/Spring Semester): Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. To make an appointment, call (859) 323-5511 or visit their website.

Safety

The UK Violence Intervention Prevention (VIP) Center provides free and confidential services to anyone in the UK community who has experienced violence or knows someone who has experienced violence. Through education and programming, the Center also leads and supports a culture of accountability to eliminate violence and oppression at UK. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Drop-ins Welcome) 

SAFE CATS (Safe And Free Escort for Campus Area Traveling Students) is a safety escort service available to UK students and their guests Sunday - Thursday from 8:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. except during official University holidays, breaks or during the summer. Students can arrange a free safety escort by calling (859) 257-SAFE (7233). 

Kentucky WildCab, UK's free, late-night on-demand transportation option for UK students, is now powered by Uber! Through a first-of-its-kind partnership with Uber, UK Transportation Services has married Kentucky WildCab's popular student-run ride-sharing service to Uber's familiar and proven technology platform.

Campus Bus System

Students can ride LexTran buses free of charge. During the semester, there are Blue and White bus routes that run every 15 minutes around campus. To track them in real time, visit this website or download the transloc app on your smartphone

Software Downloads

As a UK student, you have free access to a variety of software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and more. To access, login to the UK ITS site with your linkblue ID. 

Bias Incident Support Services

Every member of our campus community should be treated with respect and dignity. Incidents of bias, hate, bigotry, and other forms of identity-based violence are taken very seriously. Those who have experienced such behavior are encouraged to make an official report to the University.
