Scholarship Description

Applications are available online. Students must register (for free) at Unigo.com, submit a brief online application and provide a short written response to the following question: "Imagine a historical figure is brought back to life. Who is it? What‘s their favorite mobile app?”



Farm Credit Mid-America Scholars


Scholarship Description

Our signature program awards incoming college sophomores and juniors with $5,000 in financial support over a two-year period. In addition to financial support, the program provides week-long learning and travel experiences that focus on leadership development and financial education.

This program has built-in leadership and financial development workshops as well.   We’re looking for the next generation of leaders – leaders who want to make a difference in the field of agriculture.



Horatio Alger Association (KY Scholarship)


Scholarship Description

The program specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders. 



Horatio Alger Association (National Scholarship)


Scholarship Description

As one of the nation’s largest college financial aid programs in the country, the Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program is one of the major scholarship programs nationally that specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders.



Commonwealth Credit Union


Scholarship Description

Commonwealth Credit Union will be offering four one-time $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school students this Spring. The application considers both scholastic achievement, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement. A panel of independent judges review each application and work together to determine the winners.



National Society of Descendants of American Farmers


Scholarship Description

The American Farmer – 1776-1900 – has been a huge part in the success of America. We honor each ancestor for his unlimited contributions in making our country the bread basket of the world. The National Society Descendants of American Farmers Higher Education Scholarship is available to men and women accepted in an academic program in Agriculture or related studies. The student must be committed to outstanding progress toward a degree and be enrolled as a part-time or full-time status. This scholarship is for $1500.00.



America's Farmers GROW Ag Leaders Scholarship


Scholarship Description

America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders, sponsored by the Bayer Fund, partners with farmers to award rural youth $1,500 scholarships to support their studies in ag-related fields after high school. Farmers play a fundamental role in the Program by promoting this opportunity to local students and endorsing applications. In 2019, more than $500,000 in scholarships will be awarded to students across the country. Grow Ag Leaders scholarships are available in a variety of fields including: farming, agronomy, business, education, science, technology, communications, and more.



National FFA Scholarship


Scholarship Description

In 2018, the National FFA Organization awarded $2.5 million in scholarships designed to fit the diversity of our applicants. Scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individuals through the National FFA Foundation and are given for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans.

The selection process takes into account the whole student – FFA involvement, work experience, supervised agricultural experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics.



Kentucky State Council Endowment Scholarship


Scholarship Description

Award Amount: $1,200 annually, non-renewable. The award may be applied toward tuition, registration fees, books, dormitory fees, or any other college fees or academic expenses. The award will be made payable to the college or university of the recipient's choice. If the college or university of original choice is changed, the scholarship director must be notified immediately. No special consideration will be given to previous winners.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,200.
