The Jane Allen Newman Scholarship Fund is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study, provided that the student maintains a 2.0 cumulative GPA, maintains full-time status, and is in good academic standing. The online scholarship application will be available in January 2021. The deadline for submission will be in March 2021.



Bluegrass Community Foundation


Scholarship Description

Thanks to generous donors, Blue Grass Community Foundation is pleased to offer a variety of scholarships to area students seeking educational opportunities beyond high school. Applicants are encouraged to read the eligibility requirements for each scholarship and apply to those that match their educational plans. Each scholarship has its own deadline and set of application materials.



King-Barton


Scholarship Description

The King-Barton scholarship was established provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors attending Harrison County High School who demonstrate significant financial need and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference is given to first-generation college student. This scholarship is non-renewable and the award amount varies each year. The online scholarship application will be available in January 2021. The deadline for submission will be in March 2021.



Agriculture Scholarship Centre


Scholarship Description

The ASC is offering financial aid and training to qualified individuals seeking a career in Agriculture. Applicants should e-mail a personal profile (details on ASC website, link below), transcript, and letter of reccomendation as well as complete the online application form.



Bluegrass Indo-American Civic Society


Scholarship Description

Since 1988, the Bluegrass Indo-American Civic Society (BIACS) has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Commonwealth of Kentucky. The BIACS Scholarship program started with a single $1000 scholarship in 1988 and has grown to 16 (sixteen) scholarships awarded in 2018.



Garden Clubs of America Scholarships


Scholarship Description

The Garden Club of America contacts universities, arboreta and botanic gardens to encourage them to advertise our scholarships to their students and interns. Twelve of the scholarships are managed by GCA staff and volunteers. Selection committees comprised of the GCA and community volunteers read applications and recommend candidates to be voted on in March each year. For fifteen of the GCA scholarships, the specialized level of knowledge necessary to choose the most compelling research projects requires that we collaborate with the following outside organizations:



Women's Second Chance College


Scholarship Description

The Women's Second Chance College Scholarship Fund was established by Ms. Ruth Ann Tillman to provide assistance, through financial grants and mentoring, to women 25-40 years of age who have the determination and discipline to obtain a bachelor’s degree.



Bill & Mary Brey Ag Fund


Scholarship Description

The Bill & Mary Brey Ag Scholarship Fund was established to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college or university expenses for students graduating from high schools located in Owensboro or Daviess County, Kentucky. This scholarship is for students pursuing studies in the area of agriculture at a Kentucky college or university. Application will be available in December. 



Clair L. Hicks Food Science Scholarship Fund


Scholarship Description

The Clair L. Hicks Food Science Scholarship Fund was established to provide scholarship assistance to help defray college or university expenses of students studying Food Science or food related programs. Food programs are defined as Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Microbiology, Food Industry, or Food Business.



Dr. LL Cull Health Care Scholarship Fund


Scholarship Description

The Dr. LL Cull Health Care Scholarship was created by Alice Ann Cull Sanders in memory of her father. This fund provides assistance to graduating seniors from Franklin County public high schools who have chosen a career in the health care field.
