Dairy Farmers of America's Mideast Area Scholarship


Scholarship Description

As part of Dairy Farmers of America’s Mideast Area Council’s commitment to developing the next generation of leaders in the dairy industry, five $1,000 at-large scholarships are available for Mideast Area high school seniors and college students. Applicants must be registered or accepted as an undergraduate to a college, university or recognized trade school.



Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program is reshaping study abroad to make it more accessible and inclusive for American students. Thomas B. Bright Jr. Memorial


Scholarship Description

The Thomas B. Bright, Jr., Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Thomas B. Bright Jr., former president of Kentucky Propane Gas Association. 



16th District PTA Scholarship


Scholarship Description

The objective of the 16th District PTA Scholarship is to give deserving young people the financial means to continue their education. The online scholarship application will be available in January 2020. The deadline for submission will be in March 2020. The amount of the award varies each year.



Loren Richards Elder Care


Scholarship Description

The Loren Richards Elder Care Scholarship was established to provide an annual $2,000 scholarship for an upcoming third or fourth year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in a field of study that will prepare them for a career that will have direct impact on the elderly population. This scholarship is renewable for a second year contingent on the recipient remaining a full-time student in good standing with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The online scholarship application will be available in January 2020. The deadline for submission will be in March 2020.



Clark Scholarship


Scholarship Description

This scholarship was established by CLARK Material Handling Company to provide $1,000 non-renewable scholarships to students who can show individual achievement, community awareness and involvement and academic accomplishmentThe online scholarship application will be available in January 2020. The deadline for submission will be in March 2020.



Edith Schwab Memorial


Scholarship Description

The Edith Schwab Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Edith Schwab, Attorney and Deputy Director of the Legislative Research Commission. This scholarship provides a non-renewable award of at least $1,000 to a graduate student pursuing a degree and career in public service. This includes, but is not limited to fields of study such as public administration, teaching, public health, or social work. Applicant must have excellent academic records, demonstrate financial need, and intend to continue work in Kentucky.



Stephen L. Keller


Scholarship Description

The Stephen L. Keller Scholarship was established to annually provide three non-renewable scholarships of $2,000 to outstanding undergraduate students from Eastern Kentucky majoring in a business-related field. 



Jennifer Leigh Soper


Scholarship Description

The Jennifer Leigh Soper Scholarship was established by Lee Soper, in memory of his daughter. This non-renewable scholarship will award at least $500 to a college-bound student with cystic fibrosis.



Emma E. Buckley


Scholarship Description

This scholarship was established in honor of Emma E. Buckley, a long-time philanthropist in Kentucky.  The number of scholarships and the scholarship amounts varies each year. The online scholarship application will be available in January 2021. The deadline for submission will be in March 2021.
